(About)
A boutique architecture studio whose built work was quiet, material-led, and deliberately restrained — the kind of practice that lets a building speak instead of a portfolio. Their website, inherited from a generic template, did the opposite: loud stock imagery, cluttered layout, indistinguishable from a real estate listing site.
Art Direction

(Challenge)
The mismatch between the work and its presentation was actively costing the studio credibility with the kind of clients who’d actually appreciate restraint. Visitors couldn’t tell, from the site alone, that this was a considered practice rather than a volume residential builder. First impressions were undoing years of design reputation in seconds.

(Solution)
Rebuilt the site around full-bleed photography and deliberate negative space — long pauses between projects, minimal navigation, almost no copy competing with the images. Let each building hold the page fully before moving to the next, mirroring the pacing of walking through the space itself rather than scrolling a catalog.

(Result)
Fielded two unsolicited press inquiries within a month of the relaunch, both citing the site directly. Studio principal reported the site finally “felt like the work,” a comment that came up unprompted in multiple client meetings. Portfolio inquiries shifted toward higher-budget, design-forward clients within the following quarter.
