The Brief

Description

A data platform whose actual dashboard was more impressive than anything on its marketing site. The product told its own story well. The homepage told a completely different, weaker one, full of abstract “unlock insights” language that could describe any SaaS tool built in the last decade.

Challenge

Three layers of vague value-prop copy sat between the visitor and the one thing that would actually convince them — the interface itself. Screenshots were treated as an afterthought, tucked below the fold. The gap between product quality and site quality was actively costing trials.

Solution

Rebuilt the homepage to lead with the interface, full-width, above the fold, on load. Copy was cut by more than half and repositioned to caption the screenshots rather than replace them. Every claim on the page now pointed at something visible on screen instead of asking the visitor to imagine it.

Result

Trial signups increased 41% in the first month after the redesign went live. Time-to-first-click on the “start trial” button dropped noticeably in session recordings. Product team noted the site finally matched what customers said about the product in calls.
